Emotion > Perfection

No Best-Of here, just real stories

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t have such a thing as Portfolio.

I know this is not very common for a photographer to not showcase his/her best photographs, I simply prefer to tell stories.
I have nothing against portfolios but I want to value the story and narrative of a full day.
That is why, on the website, you are going to see mostly full stories in the blog section, with at least 100 photographs put together to make sure you gonna feel something, rather than a narrow selection of 30 strong photographs. For me, emotion and details create an atmosphere.

And an atmosphere, a feeling is what we need when looking at a photograph.

When it comes to weddings or life, I always prefer to imagine what is coming next, create not only the story of a day but also give a visual legacy, like it was the beginning of something else. It also reflects on a family story, frozen in time. I usually meet the couple a couple of times before the wedding day, mostly using video or phone calls.

With time and my little experience, I have pushed even deeper my reading on understanding people and family stories.
I don’t think there is a perfect recipe to be a good photographer, just be you, and deliver what you have inside of you.
This is why I have rebranded my name not only as Eric-René Penoy but most importantly as Soul-Mind-Heart.

I just want my couples to understand that I will put all my emotions, my guts, my vision, and creativity into my work to make sure to deliver something different simply because I am different. I am different than I was 5 years ago, I am different than I was 5 months ago. I always evolve, I am merging ideas, and I have a lot of pictures in my mind. Of course, I know my task, and as a professional, I also know my obligations and I know what the expected results are needed to have a proper story. Being professional is also to make sure to secure the job and deliver what the couple sees in you. But I believe this is much more. I want you to feel what I felt. I want to work on my customer experience and for this, I have developed this year a brand new service to get even closer to my couples. Not in an intrusive way, but in a genuine and gentle way. Because I believe that I have much more to give than pressing the shutter of my Camera.
