Weather/temperature:
The weather should be very nice (we hope!). There is typically no rain at this time of the year. It will be hot during the day (up to 85 degrees F) and chillier at night (around 55-60 degrees F). Definitely pack a layer for evenings when the temperatures drop.

Safety in Mexico:
Mexico has some safety issues that the US and Spain don’t; this is the reality. Guadalajara, and especially the Colonia Americana neighborhood (where we will be hosting all events besides the ceremony itself) are safe, but like in any big city, please use caution and common sense. We have made all planning decisions with safety in mind, and are happy to help if you have questions.

Language worries:
The ceremony will be conducted in both English and Spanish. It’s an important moment and we want everyone to understand what’s happening!

Schedule:
Different from most American weddings, there will be no “after party” following the wedding. The reception itself will just be longer. We don’t want anyone to feel obligated to stay for the whole thing. If you get tired, you can also order an Uber home whenever you want – we won’t be offended!

Transport to/from wedding and other events:
We will provide shuttles to and from the ceremony from the Colonia Americana neighborhood. Ubers can also take you there and home if you prefer. The pre- and post-wedding events will all be walking distance from all the recommended hotels.

Kids:
The ceremony and reception will be an adults-only event, with the exception of nursing babies. We have trusted babysitters available and are happy to help coordinate. Kids are welcome at the other wedding events.

Dietary restrictions:
There will be vegetarian options at all meals. If you have any other restrictions or intolerances, please let us know when you RSVP.

Accessibility:
All wedding events will be handicapped accessible.

Dress code:
Festive formal to us is fairly open: anything black tie/formal/cocktail attire, but fun!

Photos during ceremony:
We would like to have an “unplugged” ceremony so that everyone can be truly present. Our officiant will remind guests to please put phones away.

Registry:
Your presence is our greatest present – for real! If you would like to send a gift, we also deeply appreciate it. Registry information is above on this page.

RSVP deadline:
Please RSVP by February 1st. But sooner would be great!

Hotel block deadlines:
All hotel rooms are first-come-first-served. We recommend booking ASAP using the discount codes provided. If you’re having trouble finding accommodations, please let us know!

México tiene algunos problemas de seguridad que los Estados Unidos y España no tienen; esta es la realidad. Guadalajara, y en especial el barrio de Colonia Americana (donde se realizarán todos los eventos menos la ceremonia) son seguros, pero como en cualquier ciudad grande, hay que ir con cierta precaución. Hemos tomado todas nuestras decisiones de planificación teniendo en cuenta la seguridad y estamos encantados de ayudar si tienes dudas.

Preocupaciones del idioma:
La ceremonia se llevará a cabo en inglés y español. Es un momento importante y queremos que todos comprendan lo que está sucediendo.

Horario:
La ceremonia y posterior celebración se realizarán a partir de las 6:00 pm en la hacienda San José del Valle. A diferencia de la mayoría de las bodas estadounidenses, no habrá "fiesta posterior" después de la boda. La recepción en sí misma será más larga. No queremos que nadie se sienta obligado a quedarse durante todo el evento. Si te cansas, también puedes pedir un Uber a casa cuando quieras, ¡no nos ofenderemos!

Transporte hacia y desde la boda y otros eventos:
Proporcionaremos shuttles hacia y desde la ceremonia desde el barrio Colonia Americana. Los Ubers también pueden llevarte allí y a casa si lo prefieres. Los eventos previos y posteriores a la boda estarán a poca distancia de todos los hoteles recomendados.

Niños:
La ceremonia y la recepción serán eventos solo para adultos, con la excepción de bebés en lactancia. Tenemos niñeras confiables disponibles y estamos felices de ayudar a coordinar. Los niños son bienvenidos en los otros eventos de la boda.

Restricciones dietéticas:
Habrá opciones vegetarianas en todas las comidas. Si tienes alguna otra restricción o intolerancia, por favor avísanos cuando RSVP.

Accesibilidad:
Todos los eventos de la boda serán accesibles para discapacitados.

Código de vestimenta:
Para nosotros, la etiqueta festiva formal es bastante abierta: cualquier atuendo de gala / formal / cóctel, ¡pero divertido!

Fotos durante la ceremonia:
